Helping the Community, One Home at a Time

Through Community Partnerships we are ending homelessness and substandard housing in our community

We are not just housing families in need. We are bringing people back into the community to remind them that they're needed.

Our Mission

Our mission is to end homelessness by providing sustainable housing in Yuba and Sutter Counties.

We are committed to serving our local community through housing, education, and service with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness and substandard housing in a fiscally and socially responsible manner.

Welcome to Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter

Yuba-Sutter Habitat for Humanity is creating pathways from homelessness to homeownership within the Yuba-Sutter areas.

Habitat for Humanity homes are sold with no profit received. The homes are built through volunteer labor and donated resources and money from the community. Funding for Habitat for Humanity comes from home payments, donations from individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and the government.

Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter was founded in 1993. Since 1993, we have been building many homes in Yuba and Sutter Counties (and counting).

The local community has always been the heart and soul of this organization, and we couldn't do this work without your help.

When we see our community struggling, we rise to serve. During the Northern California fires, we mobilized quickly, collecting donations, creating evacuation sites, and coordinating meals for our brave firefighters protecting our region.

Our recent acomplishments include building 12 new homes, completing a 25-bed emergency stay shelter, securing the HomeKey Grant to expand housing solutions, purchasing a 62-room, 124-bed permanent supportive housing shelter, and securing fabulous donor partners to stock our ReStore with quality products.

Together, we're transforming lives and building a stronger, more supportive Yuba-Sutter. Thank you for being part of our journey.
