Helping our Community, One Home at a Time

Through community partnerships, we are ending homelessness and substandard housing in our community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to end homelessness by providing sustainable housing in Yuba and Sutter Counties.

We are committed to serving our local community through housing, education, and service with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness and substandard housing in a fiscally and socially responsible manner.

Welcome to Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter

Since 1993, Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter has been dedicated to creating sustainable housing solutions, offering a pathway from homelessness to homeownership for individuals and families in the Yuba-Sutter region.

We focus on providing Homeownership Opportunities for families in need, Permanent Supportive Housing for low-income individuals, and Supportive Services for those at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness. Additionally, we offer home repair services and disaster response to help those affected by natural calamities.

In partnership with Hands of Hope, we operate the Life Building Center in Marysville, a shelter and coordinated entry site for the homeless, providing vital services and support to individuals in need. We are also preparing to launch the Life Advancement Center in Yuba City, which will offer the same comprehensive services, further expanding access to resources and opportunities for long-term stability in the region.

Our homes are built through the strength of volunteer labor, donated resources, and community support, ensuring that every Habitat for Humanity home is sold at no profit. We rely on a blend of home payments, sales from our ReStore, as well as generous contributions from individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and government partnerships to fund our mission.

We are also committed to stepping up in times of crisis. During the devastating Northern California wildfires, we quickly mobilized to provide essential support, collecting donations, establishing evacuation centers, and delivering meals to firefighters on the front lines.

At the core of everything we do is the support of our community. Your involvement empowers us to transform lives and build a stronger, more compassionate community. Thank you for being part of our journey.

Volunteers

Because of the help of people like you, our neighborhoods improve and completely transform. Through this transformation, families achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life.

Our History

Habitat for Humanity Yuba-Sutter was founded in 1993. Since 1993, we have been building many homes in Yuba and Sutter Counties (and counting).

We have transitioned to being a home builder, a mortgage lender, and now partner with many nonprofits in our community to serve our homeless population and empower them to become contributing members of our community once again.

Our Mission

Our mission is to end homelessness by providing sustainable housing in Yuba, Sutter, Glenn, and Colusa Counties.

We are committed to serving our local community through housing, education, and service with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness and substandard housing in a fiscally and socially responsible manner.
