A Campus of Hope, Healing, & Opportunity - Where People Reconnect with Stability, Purpose, Community & Possibility

The Life Advancement Center, developed by Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter is envisioned as a comprehensive campus designed to help individuals and families move from crisis to stability, health, and lasting independence.

More than a shelter, the Center brings together emergency housing, family-centered accommodations, recuperative care, behavioral health and recovery services, young adult supports, life-skills development, and housing navigation through one coordinated vision.

Why This Center Matters

For many people, the Life Advancement Center may be the first stable and supportive environment they have experienced in months or even years. Participants are welcomed without judgement and supported as they reconnect with safety, relationships, goals, health, and community.

Pathways to Home

The ultimate purpose of the Life Advancement Center is not to become someone’s permanent home. Its purpose is to create pathways to home through housing navigation, landlord engagement, rental application assistance, deposits, lease education, move-in coordination, eviction prevention, and connections to affordable housing, supportive housing, recovery housing, family reunification, and homeownership opportunites when appropriate.

The Impact

The Center will strengthen not only the individuals and families it serves, but the entire community. Its impact will be seen in families who remain together, young adults who reconnect with opportunity, individuals who recover with dignity, neighbors who move into safe and permanent housing, and children who experience security instead of uncertainty.
