WELCOME

The Family Services Department at Habitat for Humanity Yuba Sutter is committed to providing low-income families with the resources and support they need to secure stable housing. We offer a range of services including homeownership opportunities through our no-profit homes program. Additionally, we assist with critical home repairs to improve living conditions and ensure families can maintain their homes long-term. If Yuba‑Sutter Habitat cannot help you, our Family Services Dept. knows how to get you on the right pathway toward the help you need. Our goal is to create sustainable housing solutions that help families transition from homelessness to permanent stability.

Homeownership Program
Families can apply for affordable homeownership opportunities with Habitat for Humanity, where homes are sold at no profit, making them accessible to those who may otherwise struggle to secure housing. Homebuyers work alongside volunteers during the construction process and invest "sweat equity" hours, helping them build both the community and their future.

Home Repairs & Maintenance Support
Families in need of essential repairs to maintain their homes can benefit from Habitat's home repair program. Whether it's fixing plumbing, electrical issues, or addressing structural concerns, we ensure that families live in safe, well-maintained homes, promoting long-term stability.

Disaster Response
We aim to help displaced low-income families by repairing and/or replacing homes damaged by natural disasters. We work with disaster case management to coordinate the applicant intake forms and partner agency caseworkers with qualifying low-income families, rental property owners, and non-profit agencies.

USDA Loan Packages
The USDA offers home loan programs that help low- and moderate-income individuals and families purchase homes in rural areas. We guide applicants through the USDA loan process, which offers favorable terms such as no down payment, low-interest rates, and lenient credit requirements, making homeownership more accessible.

Ongoing Support & Education
We are dedicated to helping families not only secure housing but also maintain it. Through educational workshops and financial counseling, we empower families to manage homeownership responsibilities and plan for long-term success.
